Rufus is a U.S Army bronze star recipient, received while deployed and engaged in Iraq in 2005. Rufus developed his leadership skills initially in college at the University West Alabama where he served as his fraternity President. In college he also learned the traits of persistence, iron sharpens iron, and never give up while participating in small college football in Alabama. After graduating from college he then took his leadership development to the next level by joining the Alabama Army National Guard and becoming an Infantry Officer and later adding the skill sets needed to be a Logistician. Rufus also served (30) thirty years as an Alabama State trooper, retiring with the rank of Major pinned on.
